No.
Eve has finally learnt it, and what it means, and the control it means she gets over her life.
Oh dear.
How did that happen?

After annoying my friends with my stories, they suggested I start a blog about the trials and joys of being a new mum in Hong Kong

Oh dear indeed!!! And, of course, you've got 'Why?' to look forward to. Oh the joys!
And Eve enters into the Toddler World.
The boys first words in Bosnian? No, Won't, Don't and Mine.
Why is almost as bad though.
I did a coaching course at work a few years back. it was all about asking questions to help people find their own solutions, think through problems etc rather than default to just telling them what to do and possibly facing resistance. At the end of the course we asked the instructor in which situations she found the techniques most useful. She paused for a moment and then said "in dealing with my children".
Best answer to the 'why' question was given to me years ago (pre-children) by our then dog-walker. He had 5 children, numerous grandkids, and said that whenever he and his wife were stumped (or too tired) to give a valid answer they just replied "Donkey".
I have tried myself with my 3 and I have to admit, it works wonders - they are too puzzled by the ridiculous to think any further.
I LOVE the donkey approach and fully intend to try it.
